Corrections policy

Martin Cid Magazine is committed to accurate reporting. When we get something wrong, we correct it openly and document the correction.

How to report an error

If you have noticed an error in any MCM article — factual, attributional, or otherwise — write to us at:

corrections@martincid.com

Please include:

  • The URL of the article
  • The specific passage that contains the error
  • The correction, with sources where possible

How we process corrections

We review every correction request submitted to corrections@martincid.com. We aim to respond within two business days.

If we confirm the error, we correct it in the article. If the correction is substantive — affecting a fact, an attribution, or a material claim — we add a correction note at the top or bottom of the article indicating what was changed and when.

If we cannot verify the correction, or if we disagree with the proposed change, we respond explaining our reasoning.

Types of corrections

Typographical corrections — spelling, grammar, minor formatting — are made silently.

Factual corrections — changes to dates, names, numbers, attributions, or quoted statements — are documented in a correction note within the article.

Material corrections — changes that affect the core claim or interpretation of an article — are documented prominently, with a clear note explaining what was corrected and when.

In all cases of factual or material correction, the correction note remains permanently visible in the article.

Retractions

In rare cases where an article cannot be corrected and must be withdrawn entirely, we replace its content with a retraction notice explaining the reason for withdrawal. We do not silently delete articles.
